Rikki Edwards Director of Dance and Musical Theatre
Rikki Edwards holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in vocal music from Nicholls State University. She has been a certified music teacher for 24 years and a dance instructor for over 26 years.. In addition to her work at the Center, she is also a teacher at St. James High School where she began the St. James High Performing Arts program and the Junior Director for the Thibodaux Playhouse, Inc.
A dancer for more than 40 years, Rikki has spent the better part of her life furthering her own abilities as well as helping others grow in theirs. She is an accomplished choreographer with a knack for creating dynamic, expressive dance sequences. She also has not-inconsiderable know-how to translate her creations into language her students can understand.
She firmly believes that helping children cultivate a love for the arts will not only help them personally but also academically and professionally.
